Please, pull up a chair and join me at the table.

The Director’s Table isn’t just for opening nights, curtain calls, or last-minute production notes. It’s where real leadership begins — where creative vision meets practical strategy.

In the Winter Spring of 2016 I found myself in a new role, director of a musical. Now I had been on stage for many year and been the director of many shows that were not musicals. However, when my friend and mentor found himself in a health crisis I had to step in to take over the direction of a musical. Needless to say I was intimidated and scared. You see when I was ten, I had been told I was tone-deaf. After recovering from that shock and the loss of confidence it caused, I found my rhythm, voice, and music and with it the confidence to be on stage as a performer. However in that moment of crisis when my friend had to step down, I was right back to being told I was not good enough or that I even had a voice.

Since that moment, I’ve directed many musicals, developed new works, led creative teams, and built productions from scratch to sold-out houses — and I know how exhilarating… and overwhelming… it can be.

Here’s the truth: You don’t have to do it all alone. And you don’t have to choose between creativity and clarity. I have learned both of these the hard way and I don't want you to experience what I did.

So I created this space is for all the directors, drama educators, creative producers, and anyone ready to step into leadership with confidence — and a plan. You see the work I have done on stage, backstage, and leading creative teams I have translated to leading non-profits, small and large corporations who focus on customer service, tourism, and product deliverables. There are so many similar elements that keep the leaders at time struggling to be Creative, Inspirational, and questioning whether they can lead. I want to have a frank discussion about our successes, challenges, and the things that make us better directors - leaders. AND in the end I want you to Lead Your Way and Be the Best You Can in doing so.

Each week, I’ll share insights, tools, and real talk to help you:
✔️ Lead with clarity, not chaos
✔️ Build budgets and timelines that support your vision
✔️ Forecast revenue for productions — no accounting degree required
✔️ Manage teams, cast with confidence, and navigate the inevitable curveballs
✔️ Stay grounded, connected, and inspired

If you’ve ever wished for someone to hand you the unspoken rules of creative leadership — or just remind you that you’re not alone — you’re in the right place.

Let’s Lead the Way — together.
